Many of the newer headphones like the HifiMan HE-6 and Susvara need more wattage than the average headphone amp can deliver. Have you been wanting to find out what those headphones sound like with the extra juice from your speaker amp? Wonder no longer, the Zynsonix speaker amp to headphone converter box delivers the wattage to your ears in spades with top notch parts like audiophile non-inductive resistors, high-purity wiring and Cardas silver content solder to ensure the best sound quality. Please note that a SpeakON connector option is now available for amps like the Benchmark AHB2.

This unit includes protective protective components mandatory for tube amplifiers with output transformers to present a load and prevent shorting, and will assist in protecting headphones from excessive wattage from solid state and OTL amplifiers (within reason). It also maintains a consistent load on your amplifier just like speakers would.

ATTENUATION BYPASS SWITCH: This model now comes by default with the bypass switch for low sensitivity headphones such as HifiMan HE-6, HE-6SE or Susvara headphones to bypass the attenuation circuit. Bypassing the attenuation can damage normal headphones, contact me if you are not sure. You can elect for dual XLR outputs for low and high sensitivity if preferred.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Start with the volume on zero and work your way up. Your headphones and your ears would appreciate not having a blast of surprise wattage from high volume. Turn off the connected amp when not in use. This box is built with the most heavy-duty audiophile parts I'm able to source, however there's no fan so the internal parts can eventually overheat if left on day and night.

Note: If using the 1/4" headphone output, please ensure your amp has a common ground. Contact me if you aren't sure. It's pretty easy to test with a $10 multimeter or you can simply ask the amp manufacturer. Nearly all amplifiers share a common ground. Also note that excessive wattage (turning your amp volume way up) can damage your headphones, so always be mindful of the volume.
